Howdy all.

Here we are then, another Sunday evening by the telly! Anyone remember when they were a child, Sunday nights was always “Sunday Palladium”! I used to love watching that.  I can even remember doing that with my Mum and I have very few good childhood memories so I must have really enjoyed that programme!  Our Sundays were usually the same each week….Dad up the pub until lunch was ready. He would 9/10 come back late and I would usually be playing with friends in the garden making mud pies (although I did stop by the time I was about 14!!) When Dad came in, there would be the usual row, my friend would make a hasty retreat down the alleyway so not to be seen and when things had calmed down I would venture back in through the back door.  God only knows how many times I got that wrong and walked in as a sunday roast went wizzing across the room! Things usually quietened down in the afternoon when they would both fall asleep watching the sunday cowboy film.

I used to always take refuge when it got too bad down with Miss Daisey and Uncle Bill.  Miss Daisey always made cakes on a sunday morning and there was nothing better than a lick of the spoon – unfortunately I had to share even this pleasure when my dear (not) sister came around! Come summer or winter (was there a difference?) we would pack up the car with our cakes and go off to Clevedon or Severn Beach….don’t be fooled though, there wasn’t really a beach there!  I used to love it, cakes, sandwiches and no arguments.  God Bless them both.

Well, today quite a few of our “visitors” have left the block…..peace is not that far away now, just a couple more days! I think next year there should be a competition here …”How many Spaniards can you get in a 2 bedroom apartment?”…I kid you not, I have seen 14 in one of them.  Where do they sleep? Stood up I should imagine!  It is nice to have people around but perhaps we are just a couple of miserable old so and so’s because I do like it when we have the place back to ourselves again.  After October, it is normally only 4 families here for the whole of the winter.  The places takes on a whole new character then. My favourite months here are probably October, April and May….warm but not so hot that you don’t want to go outside the door.  I stopped typing just now to take Evil Edna out for a jimmy riddle and met someone that apparently arrived a couple of days ago.  They thought I was away because they hadn’t seen me!

Went to see Dr Legos on Monday for my eye check up….unfortunately I didn’t read the appointment card right and I had to go Tuesday so that was a good start to the week! Anyway, on Tuesday Dr Legos said my eyes were doing well (I was actually able to read everything that was on the card he was holding whereas before I would have been lucky to see the card let alone read it!).  Don’t need to go back now for 6 months.

Got problem at the other end of my ever deteriorating body now….I thought it was an ingrowing toenail (yuck) but couldn’t stand it any longer and went to see the doctor (didn’t think there was much point in showing my toe to Dr Legos!!!). Anyway, doctor reckons its an infection (from where, haven’t been outside for weeks!) so now on antibiotics for the toe too.  Doesn’t come alone this old age does it!  I’m only 52 but feel about 70 at the moment! One good thing though, the tablets I have got from the chemist (Soya) seem to be helping, no hot flushes for weeks now.

Tony and I were invited to a party last night at a local restaurant – Dingo Diner. You might remember me mentioning that we used to take Miss Daisey there every Sunday. It was really nice and we met up with some of the people on the local forum which was good.  We did try one dance at the end but Tony said I had “lost my rhythm” ….damn cheek!! I’d like to see him try to dance with someone 2 feet taller than him with a toe that looks like something off of big foot! Still, Cheryl Cole has lost her Mojo apparently and she is still doing ok as far as I can see!

One of the lads here went fishing yesterday and caught two conger eels that weighed 30 kg each!  I’ve got a photo that I will try to put on. Antonio holding the fish didn’t catch it but must admit he took most of the glory when the camera’ came out.  Tony used to go fishing with him a couple of years ago. There was Tony, Antonio and Eugene who is from Belgium.  None of them could speak to each other ‘cos they didn’t understand a word that either of the others said!

Antonio with one of the Conger Eels....(Antonio on the right!)

Not much planned for the week ahead apart from my mammogram on the 2nd….not looking forward to that as I’m sure not many women do.  Think of me, I worry so much about them.

Right my dear friends, time to have a look around the world and see what has been going on today outside these four walls! Here’s hoping that you are all well and that carees are holding their own and smiling at you.

Heard this wonderful song last night on the X Factor, I really enjoyed it and managed to download it today by Adele. I’ve sent it to my daughter Samantha as I thought the words were lovely for me to give her.  Perhaps one day I will be able to send them to Colette too.

Enjoy x

Love and thank you for taking the time to share my world with me.

Well, as normal as I can get!!

Hello one and all.

Sunday night again….unbelievable how fast time passes us by isn’t it!  We have had a really lovely week here. Samantha came over last Sunday and stayed until Thursday with us and it was wonderful.  I just love having her with me to spoil her.  I wish it could be that both my daughters would be here but sadly, it doesn’t look like that is going to happen for the foreseeable future.  My youngest, Colette, is happy though and that is all any mother can hope for I guess.

We had Sunday lunch out and then spent the rest of the day just chilling out together. I was able to show her all the little things we had talked about over the months on the phone, our flat since it had been done up and of course, Evil Edna!  Samantha wasn’t over keen at first with the little madam but I think by the end of the four days she had warmed a little towards her!  Samantha is most definately a Bobby’s girl and every time the wee wee kid went to bite poor Bobby (as she does for a past time) Samantha had a look that she would bite her back herself!

On Monday the weather didn’t look too promising so we decided to take a trip up to show her Benidorm.  Big Mistake….Benidorm was full – they were actually queuing up  from the motorway to get in there so we bypassed it and went to Guadalest instead.  Actually, I think it was a better decision as Guadalest was much quieter and it is a pretty drive there too.

After coffee there, we made our way home and settled down nicely around the pool.  It turned out that the weather here had been absolutely fine afterall, but still, it was good to get out and about a bit for the day.

We went out each evening with Samantha so Tony’s diet and my “eat slow” were put on hold I’m very glad to say as I thoroughly enjoyed my puddings and “treats”.  Having someone over is a good excuse to eat ice-creams and lovely things like that…”come again soon…..please!”!

The week went so very quick and off we were again back to Alicante airport to see her safely on the plane.  We took the wee wee kid with us who managed to disgrace herself in the airport terminal….fortunately I had a bag with me and was able to pick up the evidence before anyone noticed. Must admit, very unusual for her I can only think that she thought she was still outside….Tony and Samantha saw and were gone faster than you could say Jack Robertson leaving me with the monster!

Tony had another tattoo (he will be the tattooed man of Torrevieja soon!) done on his leg, above Uxorious.  It now reads “Michele…..831….Uxorious” in fancy lettering.  Apart from when he has very short shorts , which is never really, no-one will see it apart from yours truely.  My god would he have his worked cut out if he ever dumped me though!!! It would cost him a fortune to get rid of that lot!

Had some news that there is a strong possibility of a general strike here in Spain at the end of September which was great as we have a flight booked to go back to the UK.  We have now had to change the flight and book a hotel for a few days which has cost us a fair bit…couldn’t take a chance though that we would miss our connecting flight as we are flying out to Las Vegas.  Trip of a life time and all that so good old Mr Ryanair has benefited from us…..again! It actually worked out cheaper than to try to change the Easyjet flight to book another one instead…crazy or what! I will tell you all about the holiday plans in another blog.

The old eyeballs are improving each day and tomorrow I have to go to see Dr Legos for my hopefully, final check up for a while.  My eyesight is so much better now and sometimes I have to pinch myself to realise that I can see so much but that I’m not wearing glasses.  They say it takes several months to fully see the benefits but I’m very pleased with what I have so far.  I do have these “halo’s” that I was told about ….it is at night really when the lights outside are on.  Inside seem to be ok but against the dark sky the stars or lights have either lines of light under them or a halo effect.  Apparently this will pass….hope so or Las Vegas is certainly going to be interesting!

In a way it is a shame that this operation isn’t available to people on the NHS in the UK…..sounds crazy but it would ultimately save so much money in the long term.  There would be no operations for cateracts, gloucoma is reduced, no further prescriptions for glasses etc etc it would save the government a fortune but I suppose they don’t look at the long term so much as the initial costs….pity because it would give such a better quality of life to so many people.

After several years we have tonight discovered how to change the language on our tv from Spanish to English!  There are so many films on here that are dubbed into Spanish and we knew there was a way and tonight…BINGO!  We do have English TV but it isn’t the best quality to be honest, it is through a re-broadcaster and although we somehow receive BBC, ITV etc the majority of programmes are the free to view ones that they rebroadcast.  We pay 21 euros a month for that and when the weather is bad…bye bye television!  When the weather is good its bye bye post…when its holiday time here, ie August, and the postman is on holiday 9 times out of 10 there is no one to replace him so we get no post!   Its also really quite normal to go to the post office and read a note in Spanish that basically says that Mr Postie has “gone for his breakfast…back in 20 minutes”!!  Can you imagine that in the UK….it does make me laugh though!

One more week then the Madrid lot will be heading home ……ahh, poor things …”close the gate on Torrevieja as you leave please”!!! It is nice to have everyone here, but I do like the peace and quiet when they have all gone too!  We get the place back to ourselves more or less around October when there are normally only 4 flats occupied for the whole of the year….bliss!

Well my friends, I am getting the look from Sir that my eyeballs have probably been on here enough now and Sir probably knows best!

Take care…love to you all.

Hello, nice to SEE you, to SEE you nice!

Well, what a week this has been.  Tonight has been the first night when I have really felt like coming on here for longer than a couple of minutes.  Thank you everyone that has sent there good wishes, it was very much appreciated.  Several people have asked what the Prelex Surgery was actually like so I thought I would use the Blog as a sort of diary of the whole experience. I searched the internet for information before I had the surgery and although there was some very valuable bits of information, I found that much of the info was generated from companies who were obviously encouraging you to use them for the surgery and I was a little worried that it may be biased.  So, here goes.

Tuesday

Had my first meeting with Dr Legos in Torrevieja. First impressions of the clinic were that it was very clean and efficient.  The staff spoke excellent English which was great as the last thing I would have wanted was a language problem to contend with too!  I was given some drops which did sting and I these were administered via a piece of paper put in to the bottom of my eye ….looked a bit like Minnie Mouse I guess!  After more drops I was shown into a room to meet Dr Legos.  It felt a bit like meeting the Godfather as he was sat behind a very large desk with one of the ladies sat by his side to interpret should that be necessary.

He examined my eyes with various machines and after some consideration advised me that the Prelex surgery was the most suitable for what I was looking to achieve.  Unfortunately the Lasik would not help me with my need for glasses for reading so it was Prelex which is obviously more involved but seemed to be just what I was looking for; something that would hopefully enable me to be able to read and see distances without the use of any glasses.

Away from his office I had a word with the receptionist (who was also his assistant and had apparently worked with him for around 10 years or so).  I paid the 70 euros for the examination and she explained to me that the operation could be performed on Monday if I wanted to go ahead.  The cost was given as 4,500 euros.  Not cheap by any means but at the same time, I am currently paying around 700 euros every 2 years for glasses as I have verifocal lenses with all the trimmings because of being in the sunshine etc.

I made the decision there and then that I would proceed and was told that I needed to go to Quesada to their other clinic on Thursday for more tests and that I needed to have a blood test and ECG. The blood test was to be done in Torrevieja and the ECG could be done on Monday, same day as the surgery.

Tony had an appointment elsewhere in the town so I met up with him later and explained what had been discussed.  He was honest and said if it was him, he wouldn’t have it done but then had to agree its different when you have decent eyesight to say that! I had his support though and so all was on for the following Monday.

When we got home I went straight on to the internet and started looking up as much information as I could on Prelex.  One of the main things that stood out seemed to be the fact that post surgery patients would often see “halos”.  I wasn’t able to find out as much about this as I felt I needed and I was concerned that I would spend the rest of my life living in some sort of world with angels!  Much of the information on the net, although informative, was quite often on sites from organisations that carried out the surgery and I was concerned that this could be a bit biased.  I put a message on our local forum here in Torrevieja and the next morning received a message from someone local who had already had the operation by the same doctor, several years ago.

We had a long chat and my fears were allayed. So a phone call later, the surgery was once again on for the coming Monday.

Thursday…

Appointment with Dr Legos at the Quesada clinic (at the commercial centre near La Laguna Hotel).  More drops and several eye tests on the various machines that he has there.  This examination was to determine exactly which lens I would need.  Tony came with me and we both met with the clinic assistant who took us through step by step the procedure, my medical history and answered all the various questions that I had.  I think it is important to have someone with you if possible because it is a lot to take in and if you miss something then hopefully the other person won’t!  I also needed to take all the medication that I usually take with me and the assistant went through all these and noted them down for their records.

Dr Legos gave me a prescription for some drops which I had to start taking 3 times a day before the operation.  These were antibiotics and anti-inflamatory.  He also gave me a note to take to the lab in town for a blood test to check my anti-coagulation etc. The results were sent directly through to Dr Legos prior to the op.

Monday

The day of the op finally arrived and I was booked in for 4 o’clock.  I was told I could have nothing to eat or drink after 11 am and to take it “easy” for the day…..umm, well I actually had to go to Elche to change a present I had bought for a little girl so not quite so restful as I’d hoped!  In the UK I guess it wouldn’t be such a big deal not to drink anything after 11 but in the heat here it isn’t so pleasant but hey ho, only a couple of hours.

When we arrived at the clinic in the afternoon, one more test with Dr Legos and the ECG then it was off with my glasses and on with my gown!  I was taken up to the room next to the operating room where once again we went over many of the medical questions that had previously been asked, just as a precaution that nothing had changed.

The anaesthetist then came in and, to be honest, this was the most painful part of the whole procedure for me! He attempted to put a venflon in the side of my wrist which, from what I understand from these things, he didn’t do that well as I had a terrible burning pain across the back of my hand.  This happened twice but finally managed to sort out my very small and not very helpful veins!

I remember very little after this…..I was not asleep and I know I walked into the theatre but even though you are not asleep, your head is (if that makes any sense whatsoever).  I was aware that I was jabbering on to the Doctor and at one point he did tell me to “stop talking”! My fear of the clamp going over my eyes was pointless because I didn’t even know it was there! I was aware that there was a plastic cover or something over my head which obviously had space for them to work on my eyes but other than that, I really didn’t know what was going on.  I was told before the operation that there would be twice the amount of anaesthetic in one eye than the other obviously as the second eye has to be “out” for longer.  When they worked on my left eye, I do remember seeing a very bright light and it looking like a crochet hook was being used but to be honest, I was not really “there”.

The operation was not uncomfortable. I did not feel any pain and given the choice of that and the dentist, Dr Legos would be my choice every time!

After the op, you are helped through to another room where I was joined by Tony who had been patiently waiting for me downstairs. I think the whole operation only took about 20 -30 minutes, no time really when you consider how it would change my life.

There were no bandages, I couldn’t see very much as most things were a blurry but I was aware of my surroundings. I was given some scrummy (not) medicine to drink and just rested then for an hour or so while at the same time the assistant started to give me the eye drops ever 15 minutes.

I was wheeled out to the car and the drive home I would describe as being like going out on an extremely foggy day.  I knew where we were driving but couldn’t really focus.

As the evening progressed my eyesight started to return.  I had to wear the fashionable Stevie Wonder glasses but was glad to have them as without I’ sure everything would have been far too bright for me.

That evening my drops had to be given every 15 minutes until I went to bed.  I had a little double vision but was seeing most things relatively well.  My head felt like a block of wood, I could touch it but not feel it if that makes sense!

There is no need to have the drops during the night but you are given eye protectors to wear (another fashion accessory which is a must have). These are taped on to your eyes with the tape that you are asked to purchase prior to the op.  I would say that this was probably, for me, the worse part of the whole experience.  During the night my left eye felt like it had a brick lodged in the corner.  The clinic had described very carefully all the things that could possibly happen and this was one of them.  I really didn’t know what to do with myself…I just wanted to keep my eye open one minute then close it the next……I took some paracetamol and must have eventually dropped off to sleep.

In the morning when I woke up, the double vision that I had seen the night before had disappeared.  The pain in my left eye had disappeared.  My breakfast appeared and I probably made my first mistake of looking down into the bowl……..(I was warned not to look down for a while).  Next thing I knew, I was feeling extremely sick, hot and “strange”.  Tony fanned me to try to cool me down and it did pass after about 5 minutes or so.

That morning it was back to Dr Legos as planned where he confirmed that all had gone well. The drops were now reduced to half hourly, then 2 hourly the following day.

I was advised not to read anything for a short time as it was best not to strain the eyes. Just glancing over words though in the surgery I could see print that I had never been able to see in my life before!

I returned two days later to Dr Legos and still all going well…..drops now 4 times a day and glasses don’t have to be worn inside.  Everything is so much brighter now. I have to go to see him again on Monday (normally it would have been this week but I was unable to get there).

It seems strange when we go out, I have no idea what my actual vision is now and because I still have the Stevie Wonder’s on, it feels like I am still wearing glasses so I have to pinch myself to realise that what I am seeing is with my own eyes!  I’m told that over time my eyesight will improve more but what I am seeing now is already such a marvellous improvement. Tony and I have now changed places…he now has to ask me to read what is written on packets etc!!

There are restrictions initially, no swimming pool being one of them but its a small price to pay and I just wouldn’t want to take the risk of getting an infection in the eyes. You have to be careful initially not to bend over too much or of course, rub your eyes.  I find that the air conditioning can make my eyes dry and so I will be asking Dr Legos about this, other people have said that this is quite normal too and will improve as the days go on.  Not been a big problem though.  No eye make up just yet but again, that’s common sense.

When I get up in the mornings the first thing I do is to look for my glasses!! Old habits die hard I guess…and I have to keep reminding myself that I don’t have any now!

I was warned that if I did a lot of computer work, ie if I was working on the computer for 8 hours a day etc then I may need some help for middle distance, but (a) I don’t use the computer that much and (b) I’m typing this fine with no vision problems!

Would I recommend it to anyone?  Absolutely 100%.  It is not a cheap operation at 4,500 euros but it is the best investment I feel I have made in myself ever. One drawback though….now I don’t have the glasses to hid my “hoods’ behind…but then the clinic does do surgery for those too!!

Well….enough on here for one day….catch you all again soon,

Bell x

Evening everyone…..just popped in to say that I may be out f action for a little while…maybe now, we’ll see.

I told you last time I wrote about the possibility of having my eyes done.  While, after a lot of deliberation, research and tests I am having the operation on Monday.  I saw Dr Legos and believe me when I was sent in to his office, it was like visiting the Godfather!  He sat behind a very large, antique desk with a translator by his side.  What a nice man though.  He obviously has a lot of experience in this procedure (thankfully) and managed to put me at ease.  I had more or less decided upon saying yes when I left the clinic.  However, when I got home I read a little more on the internet, including the fact that you see Halo’s for a while after the operation.  This spooked me a little and I rang the clinic the next day and cancelled!  Anyway, I later spoke to someone who had already had the op by Dr Legos and she has reassured me so I went ahead for the next lot of tests which were on Wednesday.

Since Wednesday I have had to have 2 lots of drops in my eyes 3 times a day until the operation.  After the op, 2 drops each eye every 15 minutes until I manage to sleep…then I wear eye protectors!  So glamorous……!  A few years ago I would probably have thought it was a stupid thing to have done but for some reason (perhaps foolishly), I am a little more prepared to take chances than I used to.  Someone said to me once, “Graveyards are full of If Only’s” so hey ho, here’s to a future life with no glasses.  Not sure what I’m going to do about the bags underneath my eyes…no glasses to hide them after the op!

We had our annual meeting here on Wednesday night.  What a carry on!  Every Urbanisation or block of apartments has to have a president/vice president and an annual meeting by law here.  If one isn’t nominated, the council will appoint someone!  The Spanish can really get going when they want to…such passion over such trivial things some times.  This year, our new gate was the centre of attention.  We put it up because it gives us some extra security from when the children are playing in the summer.  They tend to come by our door and put their hands through (its the outside metal gate) to see the dogs.  Hence the new gate keeps them further away.  Anyway, to cut a very long, stupid story short, it has been agreed that the gate can stay (it wasn’t going anywhere anyway1) but it has to be open in the summer! Exactly when the children are here….our neighbour went off on one and they are the only ones here who don’t speak to us which I find very sad.  My spanish was better than many of them (including myself) realised and I managed to hold my own.  The neighbour accused my dogs of eating her door and that I showered them on the balcony.  I reassured her that they do not eat wood….they have a complete mix which is rather tasty by all accounts; and I take them to their very own hairdresser!!  Damn cheek!

I told her that if the only thing she had to worry about in life was a door, she was a very lucky lady!  The reason her door is braking is because the wood is rotten from the rain…she is only here in August each year and doubt if she has even ever saw rain here.  Funny thing was that when we came home from shopping the next day, I caught the mother with a knife at the door trying to make the hole bigger!

I went straight to the Administrators that manage the complex and explained…I knew that she was going to accuse my boys of doing it again!  However, surprise surprise, the younger of the women came over to me and I thought it was going to be round 2 but actually asked me not to speak to her mother only to her, because in her words “mi madre es loca”….roughtly, “my mother is crazy”. We’ll watch this space.

Tony and I went shopping today to buy a pressie for the little girl upstairs.  Its Marta’s first birthday tomorrow.  Miss Daisey used to love her to bits so we bought a very nice present and will ensure that Miss Daisey’s name is proudly on the card too.  She would have loved to see the smile on little Marta’s face when she opened it…hopefully she will from somewhere.

Well, a very different week ahead, little scared to be honest but I also have Samantha’s visit to look forward to the week after which will be wonderful.

Take care everyone….I will be back on here as soon as I get the go ahead from the doctor. By the way, I’ve a couple of old eyeballs for sell if anyone is interested?? Any takers??!!!!

Love, Bell x

Good morning one and all!

I didn’t realise it had been so long since I had updated my blog.  I’ve been nosing in on the CUK so much lately that I forgot my own bits and pieces! One day seems to fall into another here at the moment, it is just so hot and we are only just going into August.  No idea why I live in Spain as I am most definately not suited to sitting in the sun.  Only been on the beach about 3 times in the past 8 years and it is right opposite us…not good is it!

The beach….well, you should see them all, they pass our window now en mass at around 8 (if not earlier) to put their deck chairs in their spot on the beach then go back for breakfast before joining the line back down to the water!  I’m told it is better on the beach because there is a breeze, what they forget is that there is also sand…ad that gets in every orifice known to man! There are very professional beach goers here, with adapted shopping trolleys to carry their chairs, home made bags that contain their brollies….they don’t miss a trick.  At around 11 about 100 people over the age of 70 converge in one corner of the beach for their daily beachasize!  “Hands up, touch your toes and stretch!”….All free, and run by whoever gets there first I think!!

I’ve probably mentioned before that we have a strip of waste ground in front of our apartments which had the show house for the block when it was built 25 years ago.  It has been a pain in the proverbial because we have had various people living there over the years. Actually, the last lot that have been there for a couple of years weren’t really any trouble but it still looked a mess.  Anyway, last week after many protests, the show house was finally pulled down and the land cleared quite a bit.  Excellent result! Cars park there during the summer to use the beach and this is great because it takes the cars off the streets.  The owner of the land however decided that as he had to pay to clear the land he was going to charge people to park. Only 1 euro a day which is nothing is it.  Oh no, one Spanish woman objected  and called the police, they came and checked the paperwork which although it showed that the man owned the land, didn’t say he could charge so they told him to stop!  Fine he said, closed the fence and stopped everyone parking!  It was utter chaos here….until he went home and someone pushed the fence down and now everyone is parking again! My god do I love the Spanish ……!!! I’m watching with interest to see what next and at the same time thinking to myself….is there something missing in my life???!!!!!

Tony has had his new tattos done….he has Miss Daisey now on his arm (she would have so loved that I’m sure and would have made sure everyone had a good look!) and on his should he has had a quill with the following words written underneath “viviendo el sueno con la persona amada” (sorry don’t have spanish keyboard for astericks) which translates roughly to “Living the dream with the one I love”…roughly!  I suggested “sold” on his forehead but for some reason he was against that!

Samantha is coming over in August and we are really looking forward to that.  Only for a few days and its a shame it wasn’t for longer but at least we will get to spend some time together and to spoil her.  Doubt if we will go too far although I think we will go to the Waterfalls of Algar, I’m told they are beautiful and you can swim there too –  they were on one of the shampoo adverts years ago.  We will also pass through Benidorm and show her where we scattered Miss Daisey’s ashes. Lots of nice meals out and generally just give her time to relax and enjoy herself.

Tomorrow I have an appointment at an eye clinic here.  I’m looking into the possibility of having some sort of surgery so I don’t need glasses. Apparently there are two sorts, one lasik which would correct my eyesight for long distance but I would still need to wear glasses for reading, and the other is an implant which would enable me to not wear glasses at all.  We’ll see (!!) what they say tomorrow and I’ll let you know,  If you don’t get any more blogs you know that I have had it done and the surgeon had the shakes and I can’t see what I’m typing……eeeek, hope not!

Had an email from my cousin in New Zealand an it looks like it is definately on for a meet up next year..so excited about that! I’ll try to make sure that she is able to see as many of the family as possible; Obviously, won’t be able to see my sister or World War 3 would start……anyway, really looking forward to it.

Right, Tony has just come back from his exercising in the garage…..must be mad it is sooooo hot down there…now off to the pool, although it feels more like a bath  at the moment!  (Some people are never satisfied are they…sorry!)

Love to you all, keep safe and happy.

Miss Daisey would have loved this....on "her man's" arm!
